Four Critical Elements for a Vision of Child Well-being:
- Young people are developing as those their age and stage should. (We must prepare and support them in achieving developmental markers.)
- Young people are developing to be successful adults. (We must prepare and educate them for the franchise to govern multiracial democracy.)
- Childhood should be able to be enjoyed for itself, as a stage of life in and of itself. (Children are whole human souls, with agency and autonomy.)
- Community must create the conditions for children to thrive. (When you ask children, safety and security are of paramount importance.)
