I am passionate about my position because it gives me the opportunity and privilege to meet new people who are exciting and very interesting.

Father James Callan

I have been an associate pastor at Spiritus Christi since we started in 1999. I have the privilege of celebrating Mass nearly every day and on the weekends. Weddings, funerals, baptisms, and preaching are a big part of my schedule. I supervise the leaders of three outreach ministries: Grace of God Recovery House, Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center, and Spiritus Christi Prison Outreach. I also oversee the Music Ministers and the Tithing Committee and schedule all the preachers. Sprinkled among these responsibilities are individual counseling sessions and visits to hospitals and nursing homes. I love the variety. And I love the people I interact with every day.

Reverend Celie Katovitch

At Spiritus Christi, I assist in various ways including celebrating Mass, preaching, visiting the sick, counseling, officiating weddings, funerals, and baptisms, and supporting adult enrichment.  I came to Spiritus as a young adult, and it was a homecoming. I was baptized and confirmed here, and it is such a joy now to serve here as a priest! Priesthood is the heart of my life. Our Commitment to Racial Justice

As we listen to the cries of the people, much like God heard the cries of the Israelites and sent Moses, Spiritus Christi stands in solidarity with God, Jesus, the prophets, and protesters working to dismantle structures that oppress God’s people. In Rochester, we join the voices locally and around the world calling for justice for Daniel T. Prude and an end to structural and institutional racism.
