These passages describe a people who have lost their way and a man who cannot relinquish his lifestyle. Both speak to us in this moment.

Our readings today offer us a vision of biblical care for the stranger as well as a crituque of our modern economic structures.

In the face of something overwhelming, we might tend to constrict. But Jesus invites us to open up and offer what we can.
