Holy Saturday holds up all that is unfinished, unresolved and unsettled in life - acknowledging all that we wait upon for consolation.

We are invited today to gaze upon the cross and all that is broken and hurting in his world and to remember that Jesus' love stopped at nothing

Jesus showed us a path of humility and solidarity with workers when he washed his disciples' feet and calls us to do the same

Judas is likely a more complex character that we have been taught and may not have just betrayed Jesus to try to make some easy money.

Our plans do not come to fruition and relationships are hard. Yet we are called to trust in something bigger than our disappointments

Today's readings encourage us to feel our belovedness, receive what other have to give and, in turn, give back to the world.

Jesus' Palm Sunday entrance into Jerusalem was meant to be a counter-demonstration to imperialsm and systems of domination

Jesus faced opposition from from the religious leaders of his day, in part, because they feared what it might mean for their own freedom

In the midst of rejection and difficulty, Jesus returns to the wilderness where he first started his journey to find strength and clarity

God has made a covenant with us to love us fully - in our present and in our past - allowing us to cultivate hope

We are called to make sacrifices in order to follow the path of the God if Israel and the God of Jesus and these might put us at odds with our culture

Part of our Lenten journey is facing the pain and hurt inside of us and working to transform it into something we can use for good
