The Young Adult Group will be getting together for a service project on the morning of Saturday August 7th at the New Nielsen House which is located at 30 Millbank Street. Rev. Myra will be joining us too! The New Nielsen House is part of the Spiritus Christi Prison Outreach and was formerly the Sojourner House. It will provide transitional housing for men transitioning from prison back into the community. The New Nielsen House is literally a mansion, which is awesome, but also means they need a lot of help getting it ready for residents. So from 9am - 12pm Saturday morning we are going to head over there and do as much as we can to help them out.
Afterwards we will head over to Fr. Jim's house for a big lunch, and Rev. Celie will lead us in a State of the Heart. State of the Heart is a sharing circle and we will reflect on our service project that day and how we are doing in general. We will wrap up the day by 3pm.
