A Safe and Loving Home

Grace of God Recovery House is a faith-based, family-centered home committed to guiding men on their journey to healing and wholeness from addiction and substance use disorder.

Rooted in compassion and the transformative power of faith, we provide a supportive, structured environment that empowers each person to rebuild their lives, strengthen their spirit, and restore hope. Together, as a family, we walk the path to recovery, offering grace, guidance, and growth every step of the way.

History

Grace of God Recovery House was purchased by Spiritus Christi Church as its first outreach ministry on August 27th, 1999. On January 15th, 2000, we welcomed our first resident. The ministry was founded by Sister Margie Henninger, who then passed the leadership role to the current director, Mark Bennett.

Since then many men have come to begin their journey of recovery, surrounded by loving volunteers from Spiritus Christi and the greater Rochester community.

It is only by the grace of God that any of us recovery from the many addictions that plague our lives and our society. Thus, the name Grace of God Recovery House serves to remind us of the miracles that God works in all of us each day.
