by Billy Slater, Grace of God Recovery House resident
For me, the Lord has been so good to me throughout my journey on both sides of the track. I can’t place into words the gratitude I feel. I know in my heart it’s my mission to touch as many people as humanly possible and let them know what God has done for me. I pray diligently to the Lord to bless those who suffer on all levels of life. I realize there are different levels of pain and addiction, also suffering. I’ve come to realize culture differences, location, zip code, sexual preference, size, shape, color does not exclude from the thing’s life will send your way. God, please continue to keep your hand on those in need. I know there are those like me who come to you only under duress. Once free of the situation, I revert to the very thing that got us in trouble in the first place. I am guilty of it personally, and you have always saw fit to grant me the same grace and favor time after time. Please grant this grace ten-fold to those who commit the same acts as I. In Jesus name I pray. Lord, you know when one knows better, we do better. Not perfect but better.
Thank you,
Billy Slater
