Speaking From The Heart

SPEAKING FROM THE HEART A coffee hour event where refugees are invited to converse with Americans who are open to them and supportive of their efforts to express themselves in English over snacks and beverages. All are welcome to participate, regardless of their religious affiliation or lack thereof. The goals of Speaking from the Heart include:Dismantling the social and linguistic isolation surrounding many refugeesHelping refugees to practice English conversationExtending friendship to one another across linguistic, cultural and socio-economic barriersEducating each other and creating mutual understanding through conversation and interaction For more information contact the church office at 325-1180.
